death, cremation, burial

Our body is sacred, sanctified and smelly with the Mystery of Anointing and must be buried, go where it came from according to the teaching of our Church. It was the residence of the Angelic Soul. Let's not forget it.
In Thessaloniki First Letter the Apostle urges chap 5,23 = ′′ And may your entire existence be preserved -- your spirit, soul and body ----, unconventional during the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you keeps His word and will do it."
Philippe. 3,21 = ′′ Let the body of our humiliation transforms into this generation, conform the body of his glory in his energy, and subdue all things."
and let's not forget that our body has been consecrated by baptism and we can't throw it in the..... trash!

Elder Ephraim of Arizona

Time is continually passing; it is decreasing more and more. Every day that passes is another step toward death. We should know that even one tear of repentance is equivalent to a spiritual bath. Just as the body feels refreshed when it bathes, and just as clothes become clean when they are washed, similarly, the tears of a repentant soul purify the heart, purify the mind, purify the body, purify life, purify speech, and purify a person’s every action.
Let us kneel and pray with extreme humility! Every repentant soul is given words: it is granted enlightened prayer.

the city of god - death

In life we face death many times,
I would ask is it not better to suffer once and die, than to live in fear of all.

For death becomes evil only by the retribution which follows it.

Fear not then which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul.

Death and Peace

If you offer tears they dry,
If you offer flowers they wither,
If you offer prayers they go to heaven.
St Augustine
